I'm scared every day, but in a good way!

A friend paid me a huge compliment last week, she came across a quote that reminded her of me... "If your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough."

You see, I recently shared with my girlfriend that I feel fear every day, and it's always tied to the fear that my business will fail.  I have learned to make fear my friend.  It drives me, it keeps me on my toes, it motivates me every day and it challenges me to be my best self.

Here are some examples of all my crazy fears that run through my head most days:

"Do I really know how to do this?"

"Is Mingle going to be the game changer I envision it to be?"

"What if I make the wrong decision?"

"Nobody cares what I'm doing, Mingle's too small to even get noticed."

"What if my business fails? What if I fail?"

"Am I going to drive our finances in the ground and destroy our savings?"

"What if my business fails? What if I fail?"

You get the idea, my brain plays tricks on me, it makes me feel like I'm an incompetent and unworthy, but it couldn't be further from the truth.   I've developed a mental muscle to tackle these fears with thoughts of faith, like:

"You are making a difference in your life and in others."

"What you're doing is important."

"You do matter, you're doing what you were meant to do!"

"You know you love what you're doing, your passion runs through every fiber of your being!"

"It's just money."

"Laura, seriously, get over yourself.  Just focus on the day!"

Yes, it's exhausting, but just sharing these feelings reinforces my conviction to Mingle Mocktails and ensuring that I help make drinking occasions fun for everyone.  I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. I quit drinking and, for some wacky reason, I decided to make my own mocktail and bring it to a boozy girls' weekend.  As corks started popping and wine started flowing, I poured myself a lovely Cranberry Cosmo and joined my friends in some girl time.  It was A-MAZING... it was the first time I truly felt part of the party!  That feeling fires me up every day, conquers every doubt and pushes me to do more, better, bigger.   That moment happened for a reason, my purpose is to share my Mission and take action.  I am so grateful for all the men and women who have reached out sharing their own Mingle Moments, where Mingle enabled them to be the life of the party and alcohol-free, where they felt part of the gang, where they didn't feel left out.

I'm on a Mission to help everyone feel part of the party.  Mingle is more than an alcohol-free beverage, it's a tool in someone's toolbox, it's a go-to for someone in recovery, it's a treat for an expecting mother, it's a drink that makes non-drinkers feel like they're just like everyone else having a mocktail or cocktail.  It's a game changer.

I hope that people who don't drink will enjoy Mingle as a fun and festive mocktail.

I hope that those who do drink offer Mingle at their next party to provide a new choice.

I hope that Mingle fosters social connection and inclusion.

I hope you support my Mission to make drinking occasions fun for everyone!

xoxo,

Laura
